Financing or purchasing a property

In order to be successful, you’ll need to understand the various types of ways to make money with real estate investing. The two major categories are home investing and property management. Under these two categories are a wide range of options and opportunities. We keep things simple and easy to understand.


Property improvement

Improvement is similar to flipping. Investors simply make improvements or repairs to mostly residential properties to increase their market value. Once the value increases, the investor sells the property for more than they paid for it. Sometimes the homes have liens on them. The investor contacts the lien holder and offers them an agreed upon amount to sell their property.

Owning and renting residential or commercial property involves investing in houses, apartments or commercial buildings to rent out to others. This real estate investment option is very lucrative, however, expenses are very considerable. There are maintenance costs, property taxes and problems with tenants just to name a few. 


Mortgage investments

Mortgage note investments for residential and commercial property are for those real estate investors interested in buying and selling mortgage notes to other investors, banks, or other financial companies. The investor purchases or takes over the original homeowner’s mortgage note.


Buying and selling property

Buying and selling residential or commercial property is one of the most common forms of real estate investment. It is also known as “flipping.” This term is used when someone buys a property, usually dilapidated, at a huge discounted cost or market value, repairs it and sells it at a higher price.  This is a very profitable way to go, and we cover everything in our training.


Real estate securities

Real estate securities can include residential or commercial property. An investor purchases the property and collects rent payments as income.
